
This trek goes from Brandy Nalla (on the road between Leh and Manali) to Hemis through wild areas. This is a demanding 11 days trek with 3 passes above 5000m. This trek includes a camp at the Kang Yatse base camp to enjoy the view to the 6400m summit and the 6100m lower summit. It will also follows beautiful Zara river during a few days. This is a trek in full autonomy with horses carrying food and tents.

Itinerary :
Day 1 : From Brandy Nalla to Tso Mesik alongside the Tsarap river. This first leg is quite short (less than 3h) as it will take around 6 hours by car to reach Brandy Nalla from Leh)
Day 2 : From Tso Mesik to the Marang La and camp after the Marang La (long day with a pass at 5350m , so acclimatization before starting the trek is a must).
Day 3 : From the Marang La camp reach the Zara river and camp along the Zara river
Day 4 : From the camp along the Zara river to Lungmoche through the sites of Yakbu and Sangtha
Day 5 : From Lungmoche to Dat through the Yar La
Day 6 : From Dat to Sorra through the impressive Sorra gorges
Day 7 : from Sorra to the camp in the Langtang valley passing through the Karpo La
Day 8 : From the camp in the Langtang valley reach Tachuntse
Day 9 : From Tachuntse to the base camp of the Kang Yatse (camp at 5000m)
Day 10 : From Kang Yatse base camp, pass the Gongmaru La and the village of Chogdo to camp at Shang Sumdo.
Day 11 : From Shang sumdo reach Martselang end of the trek
